"I promise that if you will keep your journals and records, they will indeed be a source of great inspiration to your families, to your children, your grandchildren, and others, on through the generations. Each of us is important to those who are near and dear to us and as our posterity reads of our life's experiences, they, too, will come to know and love us. And in that glorious day when our families are together in the eternities, we will already be acquainted."

Paperback Mini Album

Hi Everyone!

Here is a fun little 2 hour project.  I call it Paperback because it does not use chipboard in the cover.   I love my slit binding method because it creates such a beautiful smooth page.  Here is a close up of the bound pages.  I have made an improvement in my binding method by using Tyvek (a thin plastic you can get as large envelopes at staionery stores) for the wings that slide through the slit and attach on the back.  Because Tyvek is thin and very durable, it fits through the slit without causing the page to bind up, and it will not tear.

This project is very versitile.  You can make it any theme you can find paper or embellishments for.  You can use bits from other projects. Because it is so quick and easy to make, it makes the perfect last minute gift.   You will be amazed at how much WOW power this little book has.  I would love to see pictures of your book!  Here's a few of my pictures from two of the themes I have used.

Here's to keep our memories in cute little heirloom books!
